A European exchange between the European School of Paris La Défense and Karlsruhe for S3FR students
At the end of November 2025, the current S3FR students traveled to Karlsruhe to complete the final stage of the exchange between our two European schools.
Led by Mrs. Vareille (EEPLD) and Mr. Chevalier (ESK), this three-year project involved the active participation of Mr. Eckert and Mrs. Servant.
After exchanging written correspondence in S1FR classes and hosting German partner students during the S2FR year, the S3FR students were welcomed by host families in Karlsruhe.
During their stay, the students attended classes at a different European school, participated in a treasure hunt around Karlsruhe Castle, visited the Ceramics Museum, and made oil lamps inspired by ancient models. They also had the opportunity to sample local specialties and enjoy the city’s Christmas market.
Over the course of these three years, strong ties have been forged between the European School of Paris La Défense and the European School of Karlsruhe. Genuine friendships emerged through this shared living experience. The students benefited from cultural outings linked to the school curricula, as well as from a particularly enriching linguistic immersion made possible by the combination of the French, German, and English sections.
Our two schools are now durably connected and will continue to collaborate with the support of their respective management teams. We thank them warmly for their commitment to the successful completion of this project.
