In this section, learn about our school’s organization, its governing bodies, and all of our operational policies.

Its role:

A forum for dialogue and decision-making within the EEPLD, responsible for:

  • The composition of the various governing bodies and committees of the EEPLD;
  • The EEPLD budget and agreements established with the school’s partners;
  • The school’s multi-year and annual plans;
  • The allocation of resources granted to the school: choice of options, organization of classes, and distribution of specific responsibilities;
  • Educational projects: school trips and outings, links between kindergarten, primary and secondary cycles, etc.;
  • The school’s internal regulations and policies;
  • Issues related to safety, hygiene, and health within the school.

Its composition:

  • Members of the administration: the Head of School (Chair of the Board), the Deputy Head of Secondary, the Deputy Head of Primary, the Business Manager, and a CPE (Student Life Advisor);
  • Representatives of the City of Courbevoie, the Hauts-de-Seine Department, and the Île-de-France Region;
  • Representatives of the European agencies (ESMA and EBA);
  • Elected representatives of teachers and staff;
  • Elected student representatives;
  • Elected parent representatives;
  • Invited members (without voting rights).

Meeting frequency:

Between 4 and 6 meetings per year.

Its role:

An advisory, monitoring, and oversight body that designs, implements, and evaluates actions related to health education, citizenship, and environmental issues: combating discrimination, preventing bullying, promoting sustainable development, supporting mental and physical health, developing psychosocial skills (empathy, cooperation, self-confidence, etc.), fostering civic engagement, and more.

It aims to ensure coherence and clarity in the school’s educational policy and promotes partnerships.

Its composition:

  • Members of the administration: the Head of School, the Deputy Head of Secondary, the Deputy Head of Primary, the Business Manager, and a CPE (Student Life Advisor);
  • Teachers and staff;
  • Students (notably elected eco-delegates);
  • Parents, including those elected to the Governing Board and other volunteers;
  • External partners, varying according to the topics addressed.

Meeting frequency:

One meeting per period (5 per year).

Its role:

Convened by the Headteacher in cases of serious breaches of school regulations.
May impose sanctions ranging from a warning to permanent exclusion (including exclusion from school meals services where applicable).

Provides students with experience in democratic participation and civic responsibility.

  • Meetings chaired by the Headteacher or Deputy Head and CPE

Forum for discussion and coordination regarding:

  • Curriculum organisation

  • Teaching coordination

  • Student academic support

  • Assessment policies

  • Transition between school phases

Its composition:

  • School Leadership

  • Volunteer teachers representing year groups, language sections and subject areas

Meeting frequency:

Once per term (5 per year)

Its role:

Reviews individual student progress and determines necessary support measures.

  • Validates report cards

  • Decides progression to the next year

Its composition:

  • Headteacher or Deputy Head

  • Subject teachers

  • Head of Pastoral Care

Transition meetings involve Primary and Secondary leadership where relevant.

  • Twice per year in Secondary

  • Once per year in Primary
